About Wes

Music has been my passion for as long as I can remember. My love of music has grown through a lifetime of making music of a wide variety. I began studying piano at age 7 and clarinet at age 10. I branched out into band, orchestra, and choir through my teen years and began arranging in high school for my marching band. This passion led me to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where I earned a Bachelor’s of Music Education in Instrumental Music. From there I have had the opportunity to play piano for many ensembles and direct various children and amateur theatre productions. I have spent the last 8 years in the choral world, developing a deep love of the human voice.
As I have grown and learned about myself and music, I have come to realize that my heart truly lies in composition. I'm here to share my work and to collaborate with all of you, whatever your musical needs may be.
